Levin Furniture & Mattress is hiring a Recruiter at The Pointe in Robinson!

(400 Chauvet Dr. Pittsburgh, PA 15275 (North Fayette Twp. in Allegheny County)

Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM. This position will be located in-office with occasional opportunity to work from home and at other area store locations. Flexibility and availability to travel/commute up 25% of the time is required.

General Position Summary:

Responsible for the Company’s staffing activities including sourcing, recruiting, testing, selecting, and hiring job applicants. Ensures activities are in compliance with Company policies and procedures, and federal and state employment laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates full cycle recruiting activities for all sales, hourly and temporary positions throughout the company, including application review, screening applicants, scheduling interviews for hiring managers, processing testing paperwork, conducting reference checks, selecting candidates, onboarding tasks, etc.
  • Assists Recruiting Supervisor in coordinating recruiting events and marketing materials including in-store job fairs, off-site job fairs, online job boards, social media, in-store signage, pro-active recruiting, campus recruiting, college presentations and other innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Completes, maintains, and analyzes all recruitment reports, metrics and trackers.
  • Conducts quarterly HR store visits and consults with managers and regional managers on staffing, turnover, policy compliance, performance management and training and development.
  • Conducts HR/employee check-in calls and exit interviews to track employee satisfaction.
  • Keeps abreast of current trends in recruitment and interview methods.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
  • Previous staffing, recruitment or related experience preferred, but not required
  • Previous retail experience and/or recruitment for retail industry positions preferred, but not required

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as listening skills.
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills.
  • Basic numerical reasoning and analytical skills.
  • Strong interviewing skills including behavioral type interviewing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint software.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit and reach at shoulder height regularly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers using telephone.
  • Ability to use vision to read documents and computer screen.
  • Ability to type information into computer.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
